Edward Louis B - purchased with us as a 4yo at Münster-Handorf - today successful at the European YR Championships

This lovely boy by Ehrentanz was our super find at the Westfalian Elite auction. He was bought by David and Susan Silverman and at first promoted by Wibke Hartmann-Stommel (née Stommel) and Ellen Anger and then sold as a 6yo to Mandy Mansmann who has owned and shown him ever since. Watch the first and second of their rides at the CDI Saumur France in 2013 where they won one of their classes.

This was him as a 4yo schooling with Wibke

Sammy Deluxe, aka Seneca. Purchased with us as a foal in 2006 and raised here - today owned by master Hubertus Schmidt

Seneca was purchased by Susan and David Silverman at Münster-Handorf and raised with us until he was 2 years old. He was then prepared for licensing by Stefan Blanken and purchased by Jill Mieleszko-Vekens (née Mieleszko) who kept him and successfully produced him through his young horse years along with Henrieke Sommer who won the 3yo class at the CDI Lingen with him in 2009. Later on he was expertly shown by Marcus Hermes and has upgradet to S level. Today he owned and shown successfully by one of the best riders of Germany, Olympian Hubertus Schmidt himself.

December 22, 2012 from Pam who purchased SPA Dark Pearl in the summer of 2012 and imported her to Canada in the fall

Libby and Dark Pearl at Dark Pearl's departure day

"Hi Kareen,

I hope all is well with you.

Just a quick note to let you know that "Pearl" is doing excellent.  She has adjusted perfectly to her new hunter career and has not taken a wrong step!  She has such a sweet, laid back and loving nature.  She makes friends with everyone (human and animal!) and I've already had a few people ask if I can get another just like her…..  I will, however, pass them on to you :-).  Most important of all, Kirsten is super thrilled with her.  She was able to spend a few days and ride her a couple times before we left to come back to CA.  They get along perfectly.  We could not have found a more perfect match.  We will be back to see her again the beginning of February.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!

Pam"

June 16, 2012 from Wujiwoo's owner (Wujiwoo was purchased from us in 2012)

"Hi Kareen

Wujiwoo is very well.  She is fit and healthy - we go for long rides together and she jumps over logs and ditches without a lead horse. She is very good on the road and when tanks and soldiers go past her. She is lovely with my children and they enjoy feeding her carrots.   She has a boyfriend who she cuddles over the fence!  She can be stubborn!!
She is getting the idea with jumping and did the most enormous jump over a small cross pole the other day.   We now need to go out to cross-country training and find a tutor, but we need a trailer first.

I will send you a picture of her in the next few days.  I hope you are well.

Annabel"

June 17, 2012 Rosebrook Farm's Facebook-Blog about Folcano (acquired in 2010 from Münster-Handorf):

"Congratulations to Endel Ots riding Shootung Stars "Folcano" scoring 86.4!!!! We believe that to be the highest recorded score for a six year old in the country! Way to go!!!!!"

June 11, 2012 from Ricky King's owner. Ricky had stayed over for rehabbing and retraining from an injury:

"Morning,

I've got to rave. The stay with you has done Ricky really well. Very laid back our darling. Hacking out is no problem. He chews like crazy. Splashing in the river is great fun."

November 15, 2011: Flamboyant on the right track in Kentucky

EM Diva's son by Florencio (imported in utero and raised by Mary Lou Winn of Homeagainfarm) won highscore at the 2011 Kentucky Dressage Association fall show with his owner Eileen Beckmann. He has also scored up to 78% in 4-5yo classes so definitely this team looks to be on the right track. Blurb on the AHS website

His dam SPS / EM Diva was purchased by Mary Lou as a 3yo and since produced a row of foal inspection winners with various stallions. Well done everybody!

February 28, 2011: Fantastic results for Don Daiquiri under Canadian Karen Pavicic

Don Daiquiri (by Don Cardinale - Rubinstein - Almeo) who was discovered here by David and Susan Silverman as a 4yo in 2006 and carefully brought on with Seb Langehanenberg (formerly Heinze), then Stacy Lucko and Siggi Wolff before selling to Canada has achieved international merits by now with his permanent trainer Karen Pavicic. Well done the whole team. Well done breeder Josef Kathmann :) At present (state of 2012) Don Daiquiri's maternal sibling *2010 Sir Sebastian by Sir Gregory is growing up here with us on behalf of his owners.

October 19, 2010 Email from Erin, owner of Hemmingway who was exported in summer 2010:

Erin and Hemmingway

"We WON one of our Regional Championship divisions and placed 5th in the next higher division!  The Regional Championships are held once per year and contain the top 20-30 qualifiers in the region (7 states).  I can’t believe it!  Here is a picture of the victory gallop, we won with 71%.  Hemmingway got an embroidered wool cooler, I got a jacket and we’ll get a check for a few hundred dollars from the USDF.  Woohoo!!  He has really turned out to be an awesome horse, thanks for finding him for me!"

March 26, 2010 Email from Edith, who purchased Beau de Noel as a yearling to import to Austria

Hello Kareen,
i can proudly report on Beau :-)
The great little boy presented himself superb at his second show outing and won an L level young horse class at the CDN in Margareten am Moos scoring 7.5 as well as the A-level class in the afternoon also with a score of 7.5. His owner
kann stolz von Beau berichten :-)
Victoria, his owner is over the moon with him and so were the judges: 'Elastic dressage prospect with beautifully sitting rider, a harmonic pair'.
Beau was truly cooperative in the L-test which has two medium trots as well as 3 simple changes on a tricky line, reinback and half pirouette in walk.
I started to school canter-walk transitions honestly only a week before the test and had no idea whether he could already perform them with Vici. But the boy is on top and knows his job. He likes it in the ring.
On a light side note, the entire family has caught fire for Beau and is fussing over him. Recently they have installed a webcam in his stall so they can see him 24/7 :)))))
Hope you and your family are fine and we'll meet in august at Verden Young Horse WC, I've planned on attending!
warm regards, Edith"

February 21, 2010 Email from Debby, who had owned Rufus for 9 years at the time:

"He is still doing great, showing and placing first.  His teeth needed an occlusal adjustment so that he could regain his balance and that was all.  He is a sweetie pie, a snuggler, and loves the work --he thinks it is play.  He will talk your head off, too.  Thanks again.  We think about you often.  Rufus loves Texas. Debbie"
